ART MARBELLA: CONTEMPORARY ART AT ITS BEST

The internationally acclaimed fair of contemporary art is preparing for its third edition after the resounding success achieved in previous years. The fair took place for the first time in Marbella in 2015 and since then it has grown to become one of the most important summer events on the Coast. Art lovers and connoisseurs from all over Europe, Russia and the Middle East come to Marbella every summer to see some of the most breathtaking art collections and to experience first-hand the amazing atmosphere.

Last year alone Art Marbella attracted 12,000 visitors who came to see the 120 collections on display. This year, the event will take place on 30 June, 1 July and 2 July and it will have an exhibition space of 6,000 square metres with a capacity to house 400 artists and 50 art galleries.

Besides the numerous international art pieces on display, the fair will also feature a special exhibition showcasing national art collections that will include 30 pieces of private Spanish collections never shown in Spain before. This year’s turnout is expected to increase and it is anticipated that more than 25,000 visitors will show up. Art Marbella is the perfect opportunity to attract artists from all over the world and to promote cultural exchange and break barriers.

According to Alejandro Zaia, director of the organising committee of Art Marbella: “It is undeniable that the city of Marbella has for years been the meeting point of the greatest collectors and lovers of art and design.” Art Marbella was born with the aim of satisfying an already existing demand and to contribute to the magnificent cultural offer that has been generated in Malaga in recent years.

If you are an art and design aficionado and would like to see some of the most impressive contemporary art pieces, come to Marbella in the summer and enjoy the superb atmosphere, the stunning art collections and meet their creators.
